Mary Lincoln
Mary Lincoln has been working with clay for 40 years. Over this time she has drawn inspiration from the natural environment around her in Ardmore, Co. Waterford.
Having undertaken ceramics training at Dún Laoghaire School of Art, Dublin, she then moved to Ardmore, establishing a pottery workshop and craft shop, ‘Ardmore Pottery and Gallery’. This workshop produces functional ware, using earthenware bodies and blue and white designs.
More recently Mary has been expanding her ceramics practice; using techniques which combine wheel-thrown and hand-built forms. She has been excited to explore more complex and lively decorative patterns through her work.
